The 34th ADE Annual Meeting ‘Documentary democracy’ will be held on 8-11 August in Virginia, USA. With the pre-programme workshop ‘Fundraising in the Private Sector’ Claire Holman Thompson gives detailed knowledge of the fundraising process for everybody whose responsibilities include raising funds from non governmental organisations. The meeting will discuss the online repurposing of documents, the editors notes and how documentary editors remain relevant. Documentary editors provide research of editing letters, the value and role of documentary editions in a democratic society and new perspectives and learning of the civil rights movement.
